Thank you to the membership for another great year! Profits were up and expenses were down for a record breaking year financially that we are proud to boast about. What was your favorite moment of 2012? Was it??? the Mount Horeb MixPo, the Cajun Fest, the Art Fair, a class reunion, the mini tractor pulls at the Fall Fest, . (you can take a few moments for shout outs from the audience) Well mine was ……. (you fill in here)…….. As much fun as …….was and 2012 was , I’m excited for this year because we have a lot of fun things in store.
Exciting things are happening in Mount Horeb. We counted over 20,000 visitors to our Welcome Center alone during 2012. Over 6 million hits on trollway.com. We continue to draw new businesses Anytime Fitness, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Cost Cutters, Jiang Chang…businesses expanded, Sjolind’s Chocolate House, Kwik Trip, Evangelical Lutheran Church and Miller’s is building a new grocery store, which should be ready in March.

The Chamber is offering new programs, like the Trollway Incentive Program (TIP), Proud Member Banner, The MixPo Business Expo and many opportunities for networking. Quality street fairs and festivals are drawing thousands of people to our village – exposure for your business. Our empty storefronts are getting filled up with wonderful new businesses and it is ALL happening in Mount Horeb! WE’VE GOT IT GOIN’ ON, why wouldn't you want to be a MHACC member?

The Chamber of Commerce is a resource to help you find answers. There are many ways that we can be useful to your business. The Chamber staff can assist with questions or direct you to the proper resources to help you find the solution or answer you are seeking. The Board of Directors and volunteer members represent many different types of businesses. We would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation for you to join the Mount Horeb Area Chamber of Commerce. “Our mission is to promote the economic well being of all member businesses as well as to enhance the image of the Mount Horeb Area as a great place to live, work and visit” and we believe we can help every business.

Our Chamber is an association of over 200 area businesses working together to benefit the community and its members and has been assisting the communities of Mount Horeb, Blue Mounds, Black Earth and Barneveld with economic development since 1929. We are proud of the many activities, promotions, and programs sponsored by the Chamber for our members.

· Information-the newly updated website, Chamber e-newsletter and weekly email updates provide valuable firsthand information on the latest local hot topics. Again look for an annual village wide newsletter to keep up with the growing Mount Horeb area.

· Member benefits package-Chamber members are eligible for group health insurance. MHACC continues its partnership with Group Health Cooperative (GHC) and has added Dean Health Plan to provide more plan options and greater flexibility for small businesses seeking affordable health choices.

· Marketing opportunities-Receive or offer specials with member-to-member discounts Raise awareness of your business by becoming a Chamber member. Yours can be the featured business in our newsletter; you'll gain free advertising to Chamber visitors when you display your brochure at the Welcome Center. You can promote your new business, grand opening, or remodeling; and you'll be listed as a Chamber member on gift certificates, maps, directories, inserts, etc.
