Top Priorities the Board Faces for 2013
Volunteering, New Member Recruitment, Business development programs
Investigate bringing back the seminar series “BOSS”. Continue to strengthen networking events.

reward volunteering i.e tiered point system of rewards. Develop a
marketing campaign of Volunteer of the Month for media, potentially
Facebook, Mount Horeb Mail and Website. Investigate getting shirts for
volunteers at events. Investigate a bigger yearend reward incentive
Executive Committee to make face-to-face visits with businesses. Develop an Ambassador/Volunteer Committee.
Ambassador program was strengthened.
Board of Directors and Member Services team members were assigned approximately
10 member businesses as their liaison to the Chamber. They were to inform/invite/include member
businesses of socials and volunteering opportunities. The Trollway Incentive
Program (a tiered point system of
rewards) was developed to reward efforts in volunteering. A Super Troll of the Month video for Facebook
and the website with a complimentary article in the Mount Horeb Mail and our
e-newsletter was created. A business
video profile is being planned as the giveaway at the Annual Celebration. A bigger push was made on new membership with
grand openings/ribbon cuttings appearances and publicity Develop an
Ambassador/Volunteer Committee. The BOD
and MS team received shirts to wear to Chamber functions and when calling on

the MixPo and currently have a waiting list to participate, which continues to
include non-Chamber business members. Continued email blasts and monthly
newsletters to the membership and beyond.
Added additional Facebook updates of new businesses and weekly highlight
of a member business based on volunteering.
Continued direct mail of the Mount Horeb Area Guide. More posts on the Chamber Facebook site by
the community at large, more Likes. Continued
proud member banner that was up in the Welcome Center and during events. Continued
50/50 raffle at the many events and Chamber Socials.
Additional Accomplishments in 2013
trolls appeared on Main Street and adopted a troll grant application for 2014
and beyond with the Village of Mount Horeb.
Public relations efforts for all events and community was continued with
appearances on television segments throughout the year.
